The Center for Advanced Transportation Laboratory (CATT Lab) at the University of Maryland, College Park will be presenting at two events for the World Usability Day, which is Thursday, November 13, 2008. The theme for this year’s nationwide events is transportation.
CATT Lab director, Michael Pack will be presenting a webinar titled, “Using Visualization Techniques to Communicate Transportation Planning Data” for more information about this webinar, please see the link below under more information. The second event, the Fourth Annual Celebration of World Usability Day organized by the International Usability Professionals’ Association, will have various CATT Lab students and staff presenting numerous posters. The posters will be on display at the American Institute of Architects.
According to the World Usability website, World Usability Day was founded in 2005 as an initiative of the Usability Professionals' Association to ensure that services and products important to human life are easier to access and simpler to use. Each year, on the second Thursday of November, over 225 events are organized in over 40 countries around the world to raise awareness for the general public, and train professionals in the tools and issues central to good usability research, development and practice.
